Vicki and her family have been Strength Happens clients for many years.  I’ve enjoyed watching the program help the whole family to be active and healthy. Their children have seen mom and dad working out with me since a young age. They now have an appreciation for exercise because of seeing their very capable parents. Whether its biking, hiking, in the summer or skiing together in the winter the Dusebout family demonstrates Strength Happens within the family.

1. How long have you been doing the SH program and what value has it brought you?

I have been training with (Mike, SB Training or SH?) for about 17 years. It has been a regular part of my and my husbands life. Our kids have also trained over the years. It's like family but its down to business.

2. What does strength happens mean to you, and how do you apply it to your day to day life?

I know that SH has kept me strong and able to do the physical things in life that I wanted and even others that I dreamed to do. Santa Barbara training is there for all seasons, training or even rehabing from injuries. It goes on my "thank you God" prayer list.

3. What activities do you like to do outside of the gym?

I love to run - it is the one thing I can do anywhere and just bring a shoe. Then anything outside - hiking, mountain biking, SUP, fly fishing, skiing, snow shoeing - basically throw me a stick!

4. What’s your favorite healthy “go to” snack?

I have been hooked on drinking 1/3 a bottle of kombucha daily, go macro bars, almonds and tart dried cherries and good ole celery. For a sweet fat free fig newtons and a little glass of milk or black licorice always does the trick.

5. Top 3 songs on your ideal workout playlist?

That's hard for me but I'll go with anything jammin like Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd, Are you gonna Go My Way - Lenny Kravitz and Jesus is Just Alright With Me - Doobie Brothers.
