Sean has been with us at Strength Happens for 10 years! He came to us as a skinny, computer programmer who spent a little bit too much time seated in front of the computer, and he stands in front of us today as a skier, rock climber, Phish concert goer, total and complete badass. He has transformed his body with dedication and now stands confident, ready to take on any challenge.

1. How long have you been doing the SH program and what value has it brought to you?

S: I started in '09.  It's empowered me to have control over my health and energy as well as expanding the world of activities in which I can participate and enjoy.

2. What does Strength Happens mean to you, and how do you apply it in your day to day life?

S: In my everyday life it gives me confidence to take on new challenges, both physical and otherwise.  It provides a place for me to ground myself- whether I'm traveling on an exciting adventure or just doing my daily routine, I understand how my body responds and what in needs in terms of activity, nutrition and recovery.

3. What activities do you like to do outside of the gym?

S: I love skiing, am an avid rock concert goer.  I also mountain bike and hike, but one my favorite benefits of the program is that I can pick up a new activity at any time and know I'll able to perform well enough and avoid injury.

4.What is your “go-to” healthy snack?

S: Peanut butter, sliced banana and honey sandwich.

5. Top 3 songs in ideal workout playlist?

S: Axilla - Phish

Jump Man - Buckethead

Zombie - The Pretty Reckless
